Get out of your own way and get on with it!



I've got this app on my phone where you sit and concentrate on your breathing for 5 minutes three times a day. Last weekend, I got to Sunday evening and couldn't believe I hadn't been able to find time to do it, not once, all weekend. "How is it possible I can't even find 5 minutes in the day to do something as simple as breathe?" I asked myself. So this weekend, I observed and got curious. And what I found is that all I needed to do was just do it. Get on with it. Give myself permission to leave the family mayhem behind for 5 minutes, no-one missed me, things could wait. And by taking these few minutes out, I was calmer, and better able to deal with everything. It's funny how we sometimes get in our own way!
